The Habits of Leadership Academy

A fresh format for 2024!

The Habits of Leadership Academy is an Online Group Coaching Forum in which leaders come together in small cohorts for five sessions over the course of five months

Together we explore the theories, challenges & opportunities of leading in 2024 & beyond.

Wherever you are on your leadership journey, wherever you are in the World, the Academy is for you.

The opportunity to participate in the Habits Academy has been extremely beneficial to me in my role as a leader in public health care. I have learnt so much from not only Dan and Tim but the other participants in the group who all come from very different work places than my own. Despite the differences, the similarities of challenges have been quite striking. As a result of participating in the Academy my assumptions around leadership skills and what I contribute has been challenged and I have had the opportunity to be exposed to some innovative thinkers in this space. In addition to the personal development I have also had a blast - really and truly enjoyed the sessions each month and feel richer for it.

How it works

The absolute best way to explore leadership and the challenges that go with it! Dan and Tim are knowledgeable and personable.The podcasts alone are great for stimulating thinking about different aspects of leadership, but the best aspect for me was the small group sessions. These allowed me to engage in deep conversations about leadership that were personalised to my context. Highly recommended!

Meet Your Hosts

Dan Haesler & Tim Perkins work with leaders and teams to help create the conditions in which people can thrive, professionally and personally.

Between them they work with elite athletes and teams as well as corporate and educational leaders.

As well as Dan & Tim, you’ll be joined by other members of our Cut Through Team throughout the Academy!

What's the curriculum for The Academy?

Whilst the direction of each Academy is informed by the challenges you, as our members, are facing, each month there will be a specific focus using one of our podcasts as stimulus. You’ll also be invited to ‘jump into the Hot Seat‘ to get some real-time coaching on a real-life leadership challenge you’re facing.

By leveraging the collective expertise & experience within the group, you can anticipate exploring concepts such as:

Emotional intelligence, holding people accountable, difficult conversations, leading teams and navigating change

What's the time commitment?

Once a month your cohort will get together for a 2hr Group Session. There is no obligation for you to attend every session. However, we ask that you aim for at least 75% attendance rate.

The sessions for this Academy Cohort will run the weeks of:

5th February – 9th February

4th March – 8th March

8th April – 12th April

6th May – 10th May

3rd June – 7th June

How will the Zoom Sessions work?

Zoom sessions consist of only a small number of participants in order to ensure an immersive and valuable experience for all. We also make use of the ‘breakout room’ feature so you’re able to engage in meaningful dialogue with your cohort.

As well as addressing current issues, we dig deeper into the work of the world’s leading experts in the field of leadership who we’ve been fortunate enough to interview specifically to support you.

You also have the opportunity to jump into the Hot Seat in which you can bring a challenge you’re dealing with specifically to gain insight from your Academy colleagues.

Along with the occasional reading The Academy is sure to stimulate and support you in your role.
